In 2017, Flow Serene began as Arrow Yoga; a brand founded by Kirsty-Rae Cocolas that focused on using the practice of yoga to help people find focus and direction (hence the name Arrow) through movement and meditation. As Kirsty grew in her own yoga practice, expanded her offerings and developed a passion for the subject of natural health (healing the body of illness and disease the natural way), she felt the name Arrow Yoga no longer resonated. Her intention for her students and clients shifted over the years to one that was more holistic: to help people create ease in their own body whether it be through movement, meditation or natural health. This is expressed in the yoga classes as well as health coaching sessions that Flow Serene offers. Flow Serene’s mission statement is to help the people in our community flow through life (rather than just plod along) with serenity and grace as they discover the rewards of listening to and honouring their bodies.

  • Where are you located?
    I am based in Johannesburg where I offer private and corporate yoga classes as well as yoga in the park on Sundays in Lonehill.
  • What styles of yoga do you offer?
    Our offering is mainly Vinyasa Yoga but private/corporate clients can request Restorative/Yin yoga as well as Pregnancy yoga, breathwork and meditation.
  • What should I wear to a yoga class?
    Comfortable stretchy clothing is recommended so that you can move without feeling restricted.
  • Do I need to download your app?
    It will be a lot easier to get in touch with us, book classes and make payments if you download the app.
  • Where is the park yoga class located?
    If you type the below address into your GPS, it will take you straight to the parking lot. Walk down the path to the right of the parking lot and you should spot us. If you’re unsure, you can ask the security guard or give me a call. 34 Calderwood Road, Sandton
  • Is there shade?
    There is plenty of shade during the warmer sunny months and some sunny spots for the cooler months.
  • Do I need my own yoga mat?
    Yes, please bring your own yoga mat. You can find very affordable mats online or at sports stores if you do not have one.
  • Do I need to book in advance?
    Yes, please book your spot in advance on our website or download our app to make booking in advance quick and easy.
  • How much is a park yoga class?
    A drop-in rate is R120 but you can purchase packages and payment plans on our app.
  • Do I need to bring anything?
    Your yoga mat and if you would like to, you can bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.
  • Is park yoga suitable for beginners?
    Absolutely, all levels are welcome.
  • Can children attend yoga in the park?
    This class is for adults only however there is a playground close by. If your child is 12 years or older and is interested in doing yoga, please get in touch so we can discuss their attendance.
  • What if it rains?
    Yoga in the park will be cancelled in the event of rain and a class will be offered online via Zoom for those who would still like to practice. Make sure you have our app and are part of our Park Yoga Tribe group to receive notifications regarding cancellations.
  • If yoga in the park is cancelled, will I get a refund?
    A class will not be cancelled unless it rains. In the event of being rained out, please join us online via Zoom or request a recorded class that you can do in place of park yoga.
  • Which areas do you travel to?
    I am based in the Norwood area of Johannesburg and I travel to most areas within an 8-10km radius. If you are unsure if I would travel to your location, please feel free to get in touch.
  • I have never done yoga before.
    No problem. We will teach you.
  • Do I need to pay in advance?
    Yes. All payments for private yoga classes need to be paid in advance in order to secure your booking with us. You can view our pricing here
  • What if I need to cancel my class?
    All classes need to be cancelled within 24 hours. If you cancel timeously then your class will be credited. Late cancellations will not be refunded.
  • Do I need to book a private yoga class on the website?
    You are welcome to book your private yoga class here, or by downloading our app. If you would prefer to get in touch with us first, please do so.

  • How is a health coach different from a dietician?
    While the roles of a health coach and dietician can overlap, some dieticians have a more specialised focus with the primary emphasis on nutrition. Health coaches usually take more of a holistic approach focusing on other aspects such as physical activity, sleep, stress management and lifestyle. We do not believe one is better than the other, it just depends on your needs and goals.
  • How do I know if I need a health coach?
    If you are unhappy in your body and feel you need to make some changes then we can most certainly guide and support you through a lifestyle change.
  • Will I need to change my diet?
    Depending on your current health situation and what your health goals are, you may need to make some dietary changes but these changes can be made at your own pace as and when you are ready.
  • Where do you offer health coaching consultations?
    All health coaching consultations are conducted online via Zoom. If you have not used Zoom before, it is a free app that you can download and use on your phone or laptop. Alternatively, if you have an in-person yoga class scheduled then we can arrange that your health coaching session is scheduled before/after your class for an in-person health coaching session.
  • Do I need to make an appointment?
